WARRANTY &
SALES SUPPORT

Fluid analysis is sometimes bundled as an add-on to company’s main product, such as equipment or fluid purchases. This is typically done in association with an equipment warranty program or as a promotional service for large or ongoing orders. Considering the potential for fluid analysis to prevent expensive repairs and breakdowns, this can be very appealing to end-users.

Warranty Programs

Equipment warrantees are a unique way of incorporating a fluid analysis program. Regular testing helps identify wear early and can mitigate a warranty claim before it requires repairs. Because of this, some OEMs and dealers can require equipment operators to collect and run samples regularly.

If a failure under warranty occurs, fluid analysis gives both the OEM and equipment operator a record from a neutral party to assess the warning signs. The reports provide a paper trail to look back at trends and see if recommendations were followed or if an identified problem was left to progress.

A set of sample kits is typically included when equipment is sold and the HORIZON software can be used to monitor which users are participating in the program and which ones have untested equipment in the field.

DATA

Access to all of the data collected under your program provides valuable information about how equipment is operating under real-world conditions.

Equipment problems, performance, and life expectancy can change based on such factors as the annual climate and operating condition. End-users have used this information to adjust their drain intervals or even equipment purchases. OEMs use this information to avoid equipment failure, and fluid distributors can examine the performance of additives or recommend higher grade fluids for specific applications.
