Corporate brand requirements for POLARIS Laboratories® proper usage are must be strictly adhered to per legal agreement; however, are simple in implementation. If in doubt about the correct usage of any guidelines on this page, please contact POLARIS Laboratories® Marketing Department.
- The word POLARIS must always be used in conjunction with the word Laboratories – never alone – and must ALWAYS be followed by the super-script “r-ball” symbol for registration ® – it is the letter R within a circle and can be found in the “Symbols” menu in both Outlook and Word.
- Use of ‘POLARIS Labs’ is not acceptable. Say, or spell out the full company name, POLARIS Laboratories®
- The ® must be used every time POLARIS Laboratories® appears in text form. The only exception is when used in possessive form, it should be written as POLARIS Laboratories’.

Incorrect: The POLARIS Laboratories®’ team - POLARIS is also an acronym and must therefore ALWAYS appear in all caps.
- The logo, which features the company name and the star is not registered and should never appear to be marked as such – do not use TM or ® when using the corporate POLARIS Laboratories® logo. Also, the LLC is not required or necessary.

Full Color
When using the full color logo, use the following color combinations.
Size
To ensure readability the logo should not be reproduced any smaller than 1.5 inches wide or 144 pixels wide.
POLARIS Laboratories® Blue (003A70) is our brand’s primary color. It must be used as the primary color in design and layout to support brand recognition. Grays are to be incorporated as accents and for type.
Use 6BA539 green and F6BE00 yellow as supporting colors in graphics and calls to action.
- The word HORIZON® – although not an acronym – should ALWAYS appear in all caps with the super-script “r-ball” symbol for registration ® with only the first use. Subsequent uses of a registration mark within the same document, deliverable or message are not necessary.
- The HORIZON® logo is also officially registered. Do not use the HORIZON logo, in print or otherwise, without the approval of POLARIS Laboratories® marketing department.
- The HORIZON® mobile app should be referred to as such. It should not be referred to as HORIZON® mobile.

Reverse Logo
The logo may be reversed out on any of the four primary or secondary colors – blue, yellow, red or orange only. If printing one color, a reverse is acceptable out of the solid black.
Size
To ensure readability the logo should not be reproduced any smaller than 1.5 inches wide or 144 pixels wide.
Primary Colors
The primary color of HORIZON® is 003A70 Blue supported by F6BE00 Yellow.
Secondary Colors
To offer the HORIZON brand versatility C62026 Red and E37524 Orange can be used in conjunction with a primary color.

POLARIS Laboratories® has established a wide range of photographic assets for lubricant, coolant and diesel fuel testing and analysis services. Reliability and preventive maintenance are important themes in the work of the company and how its services are promoted and marketed. Video
POLARIS Laboratories® owns a large portfolio of video content and continually produces new video content for the POLARIS Laboratories® and HORIZON® brands. As part of POLARIS Laboratories® video branding, all videos must have the POLARIS Laboratories® or HORIZON® logo placed in the lower right hand corner (known as a ‘bug’).
